A Puerto Rico Experience!

Touring Old San Juan

What a beautiful sight!

Inside the Catedral Metropolitana "San Juan Bautista" (or the Metropolitan Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist)

Look at the oldest date on the plaque that ells about the origins of the church, 1511!!!

More of Old San Juan

A View from the Balcony of El San Juan Towers in Isla Verde

Heading Over Moscoso Bridge from Carolina

The Moscoso Bridge literally goes miles across one side of Puerto Rico to another.  Cool, eh?

Inside an ethnic cuisine bistro along the side of the road inside the El Yunque' Rain Forest
This rock, instead of being removed when the bistro was built, has been included as part of the scenic charm inside.

I know, I know, you're saying, "What?? A fish head on the fish???" Not to worry, it wasn't eaten, and it didn't change the wonderful flavor!  The fish was yummy, as well as the rice and beans and salad!

 Outside of the roadside bistro
It had been raining, thus the raindrops on the windshield from inside the rental car

The rainforest!!!!

There is a huge tower that goes way up into the sky in order to get a better look inside the workings of the rainforest

We climbed to the top on the inside!

As a reference point, look at the "tiny" vehicle down below...whoa!!!!

Pictures taken from inside the rental car as we moved along the road inside the rainforest

Outside the rainforest, on the way to family's residence

Our little red rental car outside family's house, actually in the driveway....look at the yard!!!

The backyard!?!  Wow!!!

The front of our family's house
This is in Rio Grande, a town outside the rainforest

The above 3 pictures were taken on both sides of family's house, showing the lush vegetation...there are limon trees, guava trees, banana trees, mango trees, plaintain trees, coconut trees and more
