Setting up Literacy Centers for 2nd Grade

Students won't even know they are learning about and practicing skills and strategies (Spelling has the following contained within one "center":  Color Code, ABC Order, Stair-Step, Syllable Count, Words in a Sentence, Rainbow Words, Letter Shapes, Parts of Speech Chart, Fancy/Cursive Letters); Vocabulary; Top Ten; Word Sort; Squiggle Story; Write a Letter; Writing Windows; Reading Response Code; Read and Write the Room.  Centers are held in over-the-door pocket chart for easy organization, management and storage.
